Jennifer K. Nichols is a writer, spiritual director, and teacher whose work explores prayer, spiritual formation, friendship with God, and the ways we encounter grace in ordinary life.
Jennifer holds a Master of Arts in Christian Spiritual Formation and Leadership from Friends University in Wichita, Kansas, and trained as a spiritual director through Sacred Ground Center for Spirituality in St. Paul, Minnesota, with additional training in the Ignatian Exercises. She received her undergraduate degree at Abilene Christian University in Texas.
She has been deeply embedded in various Christian faith communities — Evangelical, mainline Protestant, and Catholic — and she brings an intentionally ecumenical approach to her writing. She has also lived in seven states in her adult life, from Virginia to California, Texas to Minnesota, and has made her home in Tuscaloosa, Alabama since 2024. Jennifer weaves together her life experiences and locales to create writing that is accessible to different audiences, with an aim of being decidedly Christian while simultaneously invitational to readers across multiple backgrounds.
